AN AMAZING PEDAL CAR!

I love this pedal car, and I am too big to even ride it. My three sons LOVE riding it, and I love what an impressive product it is. It was delivered fast and was well packaged, without any sign of damage. It was very easy to assemble -- only having to put simple parts together, like the wheels on (no chains or gear assembly). I could tell immediately that this was a quality product -- very well built, from sturdy materials. It is also amazingly engineered ... it pedals and steers incredibly effortlessly and gracefully. I have sons ages 6, 5 and 2, who are all able to ride it. The two year old struggles to reach the pedals, but can manage fine. The 5-year-old can reach just right, using the first seat setting (he is short). The 6-year-old is using the middle seat setting. There is one more slot back (three settings total), so he will easily be able to ride this for another couple of years. I appreciate that it is really easy to adjust the seat setting, since I do it multiple times a day. An especially impressive feature of this pedal car is that it pedals backward and goes in reverse. It is engineered so that if you pedal backward while moving forward, it will brake. Once stopped, if you pedal backward, it goes backward ... and brakes the same way, once stopped you can go forward again. This is truly amazing, and my sons figured it out right away. They love to ride it, and steer it all around our driveway and sidewalk with ease. It goes fast, but not so fast that worries me too much (well maybe a little)! It seems rare to find a quality-built toy these days that is also a great value and that kids love this much. I think the price I paid on Amazon is very good considering how well it is constructed and will be used. I know we will get years of use out of it.

***A year later ... and we still love this peddle car. It is still going strong. We haven't had any problems with it, except a couple of flat tires ... which isn't surprising considering how much and hard my boys ride it. It is really easy to change the inner tube. Worth noting: Only one tire propels and brakes the car, so naturally this tire wears out a little faster. However, all four wheels are easily interchangeable, so we're just rotating the wheels. All the original tires are still in fine shape. As some other reviewer have noted, we constantly get inquiries about this car, and other kids are mesmerized by it. It certainly is a head-turner. More importantly, it's just a lot of fun. The best purchase ever for my sons.

LOVE THE BERG!!!

My daughter, Ruby, received "THE BURGER" for her 8th birthday and to say it was a HUGE HIT really might be the understatement of the year! Shipping was fast, it was super easy to put together & it's sturdy as hell! It's made by berg, but we immediately dubbed it "The Berger" due to it's gorgeous color! Not only is this thing freakin' phenomenal, but it's so sturdy & well made that in addition to my girl & all her friends loving it, MYSELF (I'm 40!) & most of the adults in our house have snuck a turn or two as well!!! It's a blast, easy to handle, super safe with the breaks & goes ridiculously FAST!!! All on KID POWER ALONE! WE LOVE IT!!! I gave it all the stars that were available to give but honestly, this thing deserves ONE MiLLION STARS!!!!!

Awesome pedal cart

I ordered this berg buddy for my son's 4th birthday. It took him about 10 minutes to learn how to pedal forward. After that it took several more days for him to learn to reverse pedal to brake. Since then, he's been having a blast on this bike. It's really a wonderful machine. It arrived almost completely assembled, basically you need to attach the wheels and the seat. The quality of the materials and manufacturing is very high, like a luxury car. The kart in use is incredibly stable, so far superior to a tricycle or bike with training wheels that I will be reluctant to transition him to a 2 wheeler. My son can peddle fast enough that I need to ride my bike to keep up with him, but he can also steer quickly and safely and stop quickly as well. The bike is expensive but it feels like it will last forever. If you can afford it, I can recommend it with complete confidence your child will love it and be the envy of the neighborhood kids.
