A great 1/6 scale figure with little poseability.

As soon as I saw pictures of the Lost Predator by Hot Toys, I had to get it. As great as the Hot Toys Predator figures look, you have to admit- a lot of them look similar to one another. Aside from the original Predator, P2 Elder and Wolf, the others don't have much that make them stand out. The Lost Predator's nice green colors sure make him stand out, as well as not having a lot of the weapons that many others do. This was also my first Predator purchase, and it was a heck of an introduction to the line. I was impressed by the detail they put into this figure, though I guess that's to be expected at this price point.

Lost Predator comes with quite a few accessories. You can take out his mandibles and swap them with another set so they can be open or closed. Then there's his helmet, ceremonial spear, fully expandable battle spear, a skull, throwing disc, several hands, and then there's all the armor. Everything looks great and has the same amount of detail that the Predator himself has. Lost Predator's paint is fantastic, and I love the rubber dreads. They're not like the old Predator figures where they had wires in each one- these are all rubber and hang naturally.

What keeps him from getting 5 stars? A bunch of little problems. Mine had a piece of the face just above the mandible that was bent up and despite trying to fix it with hot water, it stayed up and looked weird no matter what due to an obvious gap. The battle spear that can be expanded also constantly fell apart. It's made up of separate pieces and each one needs to be twisted on each one's end in order to stay complete, and it tends to loosen over time even if you don't mess with it. I should also mention that you should be careful with the tips on the spear because it's surprisingly sharp. What really got me though was the trouble it took to get that belt armor piece on. It literally took hours of trying because it's such a tight fit. Once you get that thing on, don't take it off unless you like a challenge that hurts your fingers. The net body suit wasn't too hard to get on, but you'll want to be careful of it getting caught on joints, where it's at risk of being ripped.

The other big problem is that with all the armor on, you just plain can't pose this figure. You might simply suggest to pose it without the armor, but doesn't that seem kinda lame to get a figure with all of this, and not use any of it? Aside from the basic standing pose you see in stock picture, I rarely see anyone else use another pose because you can't thanks to the shoulder and arm armor. Chances are that you won't be needing the stand he comes with in order to keep him standing up since there's little chance you'll get him in a dymanic pose.

If those problems don't bother you, then you should be happy with this figure. It doesn't have the wrist blade or shoulder cannon like so many other Predators do, the green color is unique, and he just plain looks good on the shelf.

First of all i purchased the lost predator from a company named Go Hastings. I recieved it and it was the wrong item, it was the machiko. I was disappointed but happy too. I figured i would keep this one and purchase the right one for a lesser price, maybe for being so understanding for their mess up they would give me a reasonable deal for the correct item. They wrote they wouldnt give me a deal, and the email was of a non caring nature. So instead of sending it back and taking a chance in getting the wrong item again i kept it, and bought the lost pred from a reliable source on ebay. All in all the lost pred is a great toy it was worth the wait.
