It's the centerpiece of the playroom!
By A. Cartwright
It's a great toy, the centerpiece of the playroom! Additional imaginary forts, seas, fleet, landscapes and action are growing, developing and changing around it every day for the last two years. One could never get tired of using their imagination playing. We've added a battery-operated "closet" light to the ceiling of the lowest chamber - MAGICAL!
The only problem is that you can not easily move it without it falling apart. We solved that problem by setting a permanent place for it. It could be a problem for someone who doesn't have much room, because it's pretty big.
Also, my kids (3 of them) love playing this kind of games, incorporating all sorts of toys in this setup, they add legos, megablocks, minfigs, animals, even space rockets... As I said, the is no limit to children's imagination.

The conclusion- it's an awesome toy, easily assembled, great looking, a bit expensive, and if it stood through 2 years of active use by BOYS, you could definitely consider it VERY DURABLE!(except when you need to move it)

P.S. in reference to the other review: it's not junk. "Junkiness" is in the eyes of the beholder.

A great play castle!!!!!!
By Isabella
I bought this castle for my grandson's 6th birthday. I found the instructions to put it together very easy to follow. Following completion, I measured the final product adding some inches on all 4 sides and asked my son to cut a piece of particle board to place underneath the castle. This was suggested in another review I read. Without the board underneath, the castle would be difficult to move without some areas falling apart. The castle doesn't come with knights or dragons, so I bought these separately along with another catapult. When my grandson plays with it, he uses pistachio nuts as the boulders for his catapults which are less likely to hurt anything or anyone (another great suggestion in a review). I also gave him small flameless candles to put inside the castle for some light at each level. Since he visits me often, I have the castle (on the board) set up in my home in a corner of a room. When he comes over, we pull the castle w/ board out so he can play from all 4 sides. Before he departs my home, he tucks all his dragons, knights and horses into the hideaway openings in the castle; places the catapults, ladders, cup of pistachios (and anything else) on the ouside sides of the castle (on top of the particle board) and then we slide the whole thing back into the corner of the room. The castle is very durable. It is quite large, and you'd have to have a space big enough for the castle so the child could sit, move and play from all 4 sides. My grandson loves playing with it when he visits........especially the drawbridge! And his 7 y/o old sister loves playing with it, too!! I looked at a lot of castles before purchasing this one and think it is well worth the money I spent. I am happy with my purchase.
