worth the money, but a few tweaky issues

We bought the 14 footer for our 7' high deck on a play structure. We appreciated the free shipping. The slide itself seems sturdy and fun. It has brought the play structure to life! My daughter is excited to have the biggest slide in the neighborhood. It is one solid piece of molded plastic, so seems like it will last a long time. It wasn't super heavy (though heavy enough to be durable), so my husband was able to move it around and set it up without assistance.

We had a few issues, though. First, they ship with Estes Express who couldn't deliver to our house since they only deliver with full-size tractor trailer trucks and they couldn't get up our small road (we haven't had this problem in the past with UPS, Fed Ex, or even Lowe's store home delivery). I assumed the slide came in pieces and wasn't told that the whole, 14' slide was in a 14' long box, when I made arrangements to meet at a large parking lot in town to pick it up in the back of my terribly inadequate Ford F-150. Fortunately the delivery driver was very nice and helped me strap the load into the back of the truck, though it stuck out an illegal 8' beyond the tailgate. We made it home very slowly and unpacked the box. So far as I can tell, there were no instructions for attachment (recommended bolt sizes, etc) included in the packaging, though they added 2 catalogs for other products they sell. The slide itself has several large scuff marks and a deep, 6 inch scrape/gash on it. It is for an outside play structure, so it doesn't matter so much, but still I paid a lot of money for it so I thought it would look new. Considering the difficulty in getting it to my yard, though, I'm not considering exchanging it!

Great addition to our tree house!

I did a lot of research for this purchase, and this slide is exactly as advertised. I added it to a tree house I built about 2 years ago, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of this product. The kids love it! It is very sturdy and durable. My deck height is a little over 7 feet, but it still fit fine.

It is very long, so it was a bit of a challenge to get it from my office to my home, but nothing that couldn't be solved by borrowing my neighbors pick-up truck.

In terms of installation, there's not much to do other than buy a few galvanized bolts with washers to fit through the plastic at the top of the slide. There are no "pieces" that come with it - just the slide itself - so you will need to buy a few bolts (cost about $3 at my local hardware store).

Freight costs money

This item is large and requires freight shipping. It is different from regular shipping. So, even though I am a prime member and frieght was free, when I needed to return it they only credited me $160. What a large loss. Be careful, this company will not bend.
