Another great UCS set
By Merrilee Johnson
I purchased two of these, one to open and play with, and one to save. The UCS sets are stunning in a whole and great for display. While they are not as durable as a hasbro solid plastic shuttle, "battle damage" is alot easier to repair with legos ;). I am a 27 year old man, and had little trouble assempling the set, it just required proper preperation! Sort Sort Sort!

As a side note, dont pay 300$ for this set on ebay or amazon, you can get it with free shipping through [...] for [...].

So Cool
By Daniel G. Lebryk
Whoa this is one massive incredible Lego build. Without a doubt this is the largest Lego I have ever built. But darn it, this thing is so cool.

I can't think of a single other Lego kit that is cooler than this one. The detail is amazing, the kit looks fantastic built. In fact, it is probably one of the more "lifelike" kits. Lifelike is a manner of speaking, it looks so much like the images in the Star Wars films.

The detail is fantastic. The two wings have a crank on the back to raise and lower them. The cockpit opens and closes. The stand is impressive.

This is not a particularly difficult build. A big table is critical, once the subassemblies start coming together this takes up a lot of space. Thank goodness Lego has done a great job organizing the bags of parts. It's pretty easy to find the correct part out of the five bazillion parts in this kit. There are four instruction books. Each one builds a major subassembly of the Shuttle.

I recently built the large Space Shuttle kit. That was much more complex than this one. I would say any solid Lego Maniac should be able to put this together. Although Lego labels this 16 years plus, if a twelve or thirteen year old has been building kits for a while, this should pose no problems at all. Sometimes it takes two people to manipulate the craft and attach parts. The stand is so darn cool.

Three of us completed this build over three days, maybe a total of 10 hours build time.

I am always amazed at Lego's quality control. In an over 2,000 piece kit, there were absolutely no missing parts and the leftovers were about 15 tiny pieces. Simply incredible.

Great Stunning Set
By Scott Beauchemin
This set is stunning when built. This a something that you will want to display. It is not one that can be played with as the pieces will come off. It was relatively easy as lego finally put like pieces together in each bag, which removes the annoyance of hunting for pieces.

Only compliant is - As with all the Star Wars legos sets, it's hard to distinguish between the gray, dark gray and black pieces in the instructions manual.

I'm looking forward to seeing Legos' next Collector's Star Wars Set.
