The Story Behind the Model
During the Clone Wars the Jedi Order deployed the single seat, tapered starfighter of the Galactic Republic in large numbers. A typical feature of this Delta-7B starfighter is the position of the astromech droid (in Anakin's case R2-D2) just fore of the cockpit instead of next to it.The relatively light armament is explained by the Jedi's confidence in their own skills of conflict avoidance. Its modest dimensions also offer too little space for its own hyperdrive. This extremely light short starfighter is well protected against bombardment. The four laser cannons it carries with it are partly concealed. Anakin uses a Jedi starfighter, among other things when rescuing Jabba the Hutt's son, Rotta.

Helpful Hints For Building
Your SnapTite® Star Wars® Jedi Starfighter™ is a Level 1 kit - it's perfect for anyone new to model kit building, as well as experienced builders. Always study the assembly drawings included in the packaging before beginning. Each plastic part is identified by a part number. This kit may be snapped together, but for extra stability, you may want to cement or glue the parts as well. Trimming to remove extra plastic and filing to smooth before part assembly is suggested. Good not great
By Jack
I just bought 7 of the current line of SnapTite Star Wars kits to decorate my bookshelf with. The Jedi Starfighters were the easiest to assemble, I bought all three that are for sale.

There are three parts that were annoying while putting three of these together. The pilot does not star seated, he just flops around the cockpit, I may go back later and glue it in. Because the pilot is loose it causes the flight control stick part to be pulled out often. Also there is a triangular wall piece that covers the rear of the model around where the engine are, nothing really holds it in place so it's kinda tricky to put the top and bottom body pieces together without this piece moving and causing trouble.

Overall I am happy with the models. They are smaller than I was expecting, but I could have just read the dimensions. It is cool that you can put the landing gear down or up, I prefer up. It also comes with a display stand. They are pre-painted, but the detail is not that great. Its odd, because some things look junkily badly painted, then other things like the black burning smear bits look great. Overall its cute on the shelf, but not like a professional model or anything. I found the first one a little tricky to assembly as I have never done one before, but the next two I put together were very easy and quick. I kept some nail trimmers handy to trim the extra plastic off the pieces.

Overall I'm pretty happy. They were only $7 a piece so I can't complain, I definitely recommend them. They are very delicate, so I would not recommend that kids play with them, they are definitely for display only.

A Very basic starter model
By TxAgg2011
For the price this was a decent starter model to build.

I have not built a model in 30 years, but wanted to get my boys (5 & 11) into model building to see if they liked it. In an effort to get them another hobby, that might be slightly less expensive than Lego's.

The instructions were some what clear, but it did take some trial and error to understand the order of how they wanted each piece put together.

All together, a 20 minute job, that in the end was both "ok, we finished our first model" and "wow, we're already done?"

This looks like the picture but it's very fragile
By MissHawkesBee
And we could not get all the pieces to fit perfectly. That said, my six year old son is thrilled with it.
