Headband not adjustable and way too big

I bought these for my girlfriend as a gag gift, but even so I was disappointed when she opened them up and discovered that the headband was HUGE and it is not adjustable at all, so it doesn't sit well on her head and falls off. Also the band has one thin single strand of hair attached to it that runs from one bun to the other, but it doesn't cover the band at all and just looks weird. It would have been better to just leave the brown headband unadorned it would have been less conspicuous. Overall, this item was a disappointment, and it was also fairly bothersome to have to pay $8 in shipping for a $15 item (it did not qualify for free shipping as it came from a 3rd party vendor).

I don't know what your other Princess Leia hair options out their are, but this one was a letdown.

Leave the hair nets on.

The headband worked well. Item is as pictured. The hair construction is a little cheesy across the headband and you have to be careful to not snag any of the hair. I had a little difficulty figuring out where to hide my shoulder length hair behind the ear-muff like headband at first. I had to tightly pony tail my hair, then pin curl (or wrap it) as flatly as possible just behind my ear. I read a review that recommended leaving the hair nets on, and I fully agree. I used the hair nets to keep the few fly aways on the buns tucked in as well as my own hair slipped in the back. The nets were barely visible to anyone else and kept the hair all together. The muffs were comfortable and warm, stayed in place well, and after the first try, easy to use. They were a key element for the costume, and easily identifiable.

Every princess should have one

I ordered this for my Granddaughter, who is exploring "Star Wars" with her Dad, and the force is definitely with her. The quality is better than expected and looks great. One small note: The headband is ADULT size and won't fit a child. We used our imagination and were able to reattach the buns on a smaller headband for her. They are made for adults and are a step above what I've seen previously. Very realistic too. I think they should make them in different colors so blondes and redheads could look Like Princess Leia too.
