Fun enough, No strap, You can see paint brush strokes
By D. Walker
My son just got this as a gift. He and my daughter have been taking turns, as it is quite fun to talk through. And when you don't talk, a realistic Darth Vader breathing sound takes over.

Pros:
It's fun, at least for a while.

Cons:
1) There is no strap, which means you have to hold it up to your face. One suspects this is a safety feature, though I can't believe there was not a way around the problem. (A slit, for example?) This voice changer would have been really neat as part of a larger mask.
2) You can see the brush strokes from when paint was applied. This makes the product look much cheaper than it feels otherwise.

Minor complaint:
1) Sound only comes out of one side of the mask.

Summary: If this toy were cheap enough, I would buy it. I wouldn't pay the price they are asking for on 12/18/2011.

Looks cooler than it really is. So disappointing.
By J.Lopez
I got this for my 4 year old son for Christmas. He loves masks, helmets, and anything dress-up/role play, especially when it comes to Star Wars.

Here is what I liked about the toy:

1. The gas mask look.

2. It's well constructed, doesn't easily fall apart. It's not cheap quality.

3. The idea of getting three characters out of one toy. You can sound like General Grievous, Darth Vader, or Boba Fett.

That's about it. Everything that follows are my complaints about this toy.

1. There's no strap. So you have to walk around holding that thing up to your mouth to talk into it. Not as much fun and doesn't look nearly as cool.

2. Batteries not included. At the price that they charge for this thing, shouldn't they throw in at least a cheap set of batteries??

3. Not really any place for your breath to escape. Kind of ironic since it looks like a gas mask, which is supposed to help you breathe.

4. The actual voice changer sucks!!! Yes, the voice sounds a little more robotic, and the Darth Vader breathing sounds are there, but you can't really tell much difference between the three voices when you talk into it. I've had better results from a much cheaper voice changing megaphone.

Fortunately I got this for much cheaper at a local toy store. Otherwise, I would've been a little more upset that I paid that much money for a toy that didn't deliver. My son got bored of this very quickly. My husband and I are very disappointed and will most likely return it. Not worth the money!

Christmas Gift
By Yvette Lubbers
I got this toy for a Christmas Gift for a 4 year old. Took only four days to get it! Looks great. Packaging and everything looks like it was just taken off the store shelf. I can't wait for the "I am your father" quotes this Christmas!
